About us
WaveTag grew out of an idea of four friends studying at the Smíchov Secondary Technical School in Prague. After six months of development we presented the first prototype to the public in December 2023 at the NextZone technology centre.
We have come a long way since. In 2025 we received a grant from the ČSOB Start It programme, rewrote our platform completely and moved the engraving process from abroad into our own offices in Prague 5. Thanks to that we are today the only ones in the European Union who make and deliver metal and wooden cards with a custom design within 2 days.
Our goal is to make networking simpler and bring the classic business card into the digital era. In 2026 we plan investments into B2C marketing campaigns, full automation of our processes and expansion into further markets in Central Europe.
